We wanted to bring a little sunshine into the Pop Up Shop, so it was decorated with colourful garlands, deckchairs, our beach towels, plus there were delicious Swimwear365 cupcakes and exotic tropical cocktails! We also offered mini manicures from Nails by Mets who created stunning nail art designs to match prints from the collection.

Our sponsors The Good Spa Guide offered a fabulous competition prize and the incredible ‘Golden Delicious’ bronzing gel from Temple Spa.

We had an amazing turnout over the two days, including the teams from Look Magazine, Marie Claire, Woman, Woman’s Own, Woman’s Weekly, Living Etc and Now Magazine. We also met some lovely fashion & style bloggers over the two days.

Helen’s top tips and swimwear picks for monochrome:

• This black and white swim dress is a great option for those who want a little more coverage from their swimwear. With the white trim and square neckline it pays a nod to retro styling which is oh so flattering.

• This striped bikini offers a gorgeous cut and the cups and quality of material provide great support. The pattern proves that monochrome doesn’t have to be block tones.
• White bikinis can sometimes feel like a risk but this white 5 way 2 piece has a thick lining for added security. The great thing about it is the ability to wear it in 5 ways, so you can tailor the straps to suit your shape.

 Top tips and picks for colour:

• A coral bikini will look fantastic against bronzed and dark skin tones. A halter neck shape in a bikini top provides great support to the bust while offering a flattering cut.
• This emerald green bikini is a fantastic colour for blondes. The bandeau style is really handy when sunbathing as you can easily pull down the halter straps to avoid tan lines. The matching short style briefs are perfect for pears, but apples should opt for a smaller brief with the mix and match option for a more flattering cut.
• For a one piece within the colour pop trend, this vivid blue swimsuit is just perfect. The zig zag stitch detailing under the bust has a sculpting effect around your middle and draws the eyes downwards, which is so flattering and adds shape. Great for those who want glamour but the added coverage of a swimsuit.

 Top picks for swimwear with print and pattern:

• This palm print bikini is right on trend and is one of our favourites for the season. The colour will suit pretty much all skin tones and hair colours, while the cut is also really flattering.
• This Jette mixed print bikini is super cool and Cheryl Cole-esque! We love the mix of the tropical print against the leopard print – this clashing of prints is a big trend for SS13.
• This tribal print two piece has classic colours which is a fantastic option for people who love print but don’t want to go bold with lots of colour. One of the blogger favourites from the Hangout and currently a best seller!
• Finally, this loud, proud and incredible printed one piece from French Connection is the perfect option for making a statement. The tie up detailing adds interest to the piece and it’s padded for some extra oomph and support in the chest department.

Each month, we ask a style blogger what they would pack on their break to a popular holiday destination.  This month, we asked Sarah from ‘Fashion Dotty‘  what she would take on her holiday to Las Vegas.

As a blogger who is dotty over rainbows of colour (and hot weather!) Las Vegas is my ideal holiday destination. I’m no gambler but I fantasise about strolling down the strip on a moving walkway, taking in the neon lights, beautiful water fountains and the wonderfully American-retro signs.

The hotels in Las Vegas are certainly grand – Caesar’s Palace, the Mirage and Paris Las Vegas are all legendary – but I’d rather get off the beaten track and stay at the kitsch Flamingo hotel. I’d have to be wearing something super bright to stand out by the pool – say, a rainbow one-piece (all the coolest girls are rocking the one-piece this year, don’tcha know) – and could easily be worn underneath a tie-dye tunic to keep cool when out and about, or peeking out of a shorts and kaftan combo for lunch time.

No trip to Vegas would be complete without watching one of the shows. For an evening performance at Caesar’s Palace I’d smarten up in a lovely pink tiered frock with some sandals. Cork shoes were all the rage in the 1960s so I’d fit right in with some of the performers!

With the stark contrast of the Grand Canyon a five hour drive away from Vegas, it’d only be right to slip on a pair of comfy shoes and go explore. Pink Converse would be my choice: still in-keeping with my rainbow-tastic holiday wardrobe but I’d be able to walk in them all day. The Grand Canyon is a vast open space in the desert without much shelter, so I would definitely be slathering on the sun cream and wearing a straw hat. I might be in the middle of a desert but I still want to look cute, right?
