Swimwear Preview – Rio de Janeiro
Each month, we ask a style blogger what they would pack on their break to a popular holiday destination. This month, we asked Lola and Fikki from The Pastime Bliss what they would take on their holiday to Rio de Janeiro.
Rio has always been our dream holiday destination and with Michael Palin’s Brazil on BBC1 giving us a glimpse of Rio earlier this year, it is one place we are saving up to visit. Hopefully we can make it there for the next Olympics! The varied culture, beautiful beaches and the greatest carnival on earth make it the perfect holiday destination. If we were there on a beach right now, this is what we would be wearing….
For our very own ‘Girl From Ipanema’ beach look, we have decided to go for a fun and colourful look that is likely to stand out in the Rio crowds. For a day on the beach sunbathing, bikinis are the standard and we have chosen the Buffalo Red Floral Balconette Bikini. The red glow of the pretty floral print is one colour that really complements a range of skin tones and stands out on the beach. The halter top is one that can suit a range of shapes as it enhances a smaller bust whilst evening out those that are bottom heavy. And you can show off those tanned shoulders!
Alternatively, for a covered up look, this simple Lascana Black Ruched Swimsuit covers up nicely whilst showcasing all the curves. We especially love how flattering it is and the minimal embellishment at the top. And of course sunglasses are every girl’s best holiday accessory, so these Black Aviator Style Sunglasses are a must.
After a day on the beach, the Lascana Ring Strapped Beach Dress with its pretty print makes a great evening dress. Pair this with the Tamaris Wedge Sandals for the finishing touch.
We cannot wait for the day when we have the chance to visit this beautiful city!
