Finally the weather is here. After weeks of cold it feels like summer has just about arrived. We all know what that means; it’s time to flaunt this summer’s swimwear styles. If you can get a little time to sunbathe, great or if you’re off on holiday soon – even better.

We know you know that prints and patterns are huge this summer. Whenever you step out they’re everywhere from tops, maxi dresses and skimpy summer items. And best of all they’re really doing their thing for swimwear.

Printed swimwear

Prints and patterns have been seen all over the catwalks this year. We’re loving animal print, again a big style sticking around from last year; but this year it’s getting even louder with bright ethic prints everywhere in swimwear. If it’s tribal or ikat based and in bright, bold colours it’s right on trend.

Mixing, matching and figure flattering

Mix and match swimwear is great for this summer. Clashing, bold colours and dazzling prints are all the rage. It’s also a great idea to really flaunt your fabulous figure.

If you’re a little bigger up top and want to take the attention away from your bust a little opt for a solid colour on top and bright, print bottoms. If you’re thinking of something a little sexier opt for a V-neck bathing suit in a bright print to really show off your assets.

For those whose hips are a little bigger go for a tankini with a bold print on top. Match this on the bottom with a solid colour making sure the pattern brings the attention up to your top half.

Accessorise, Accessorise, Accessorise…

It’s not just print and pattern ladies swimwear which will give you the perfect beach look. There are also cover-ups to think off. After all, if you’re moving from beach to bar you’ll want to stay ahead in the style stakes.

We’re thinking bright print tunics, play suits, tops and even maxi dresses. Don’t worry if it’s not the same print as your bikini – we love a bit of clashing.
