Top trend #1: Colour

Banish nude and neutral tones from your swimwear wardrobe; next season is all about bright colours – the bigger and bolder the better. Think exotic, head turning prints in shades of citrus and tropical tones that will look great against a tan.

50s inspired high-wasited bikinis are back with a boom for SS13, and we’re loving them! They’re great for enhancing curvy shapes and accentuating your hips. they’re also an absolute winner for the slightly more conservative sun-worshipers amongst us because they hide sensitive problem areas. Perfect!

Caribbean

If you’re lucky enough to be jetting off to the tropical Caribbean then we reckon the perfect swim attire for you is neon brights and jewel colours. Caribbean landscape is well known for its rich and tropical colouring; picture azure blue sea and white sand. To fit in we’re thinking raspberry pinks, sunshine yellows and cobalt blues are spot on for strutting your stuff on the beach. Don’t forget tropical prints – the bigger the better on a Caribbean island! If you want to try something a bit different then why not try a metallic shade – gold would look fantastic with a tan!

South of France

Perhaps you’re swooning off to the swanky South of France to catch some rays? If you are, then you’re probably already gearing up to look chic in your swimsuits. Nautical is a key trend for the South of France because of all the yachting, boating and cruising that takes place. So, to look suitably stylish we’d recommend getting on board the nautical trend. It doesn’t have to be extreme – less is definitely more for a nautical vibe, so think subtle combos of red white and blue. If you’ve got a nautical swimsuit then stay away from sailor-themed accessories because you’ll end up looking more gimmick than glam.

Marbella
